Questions about standup cost

How do you calculate the cost of a daily standup?

Multiply the number of people by the minutes the meeting takes. That is the team time per day. Multiply by 5 for a week and by 48 working weeks for a year. Multiply the hours by an average hourly cost to get money.

How long should a daily standup take?

The usual advice is 15 minutes at most. Use the number your standup really takes, including the minutes people spend waiting for it to start.

Does this calculator store my numbers?

No. The sums run in your browser. Nothing you enter is saved or sent anywhere.

Where does the blip estimate come from?

It assumes 30 seconds to write a three-line blip and one minute to read the team feed, per person. It is an estimate, not a measurement. You can time your own blip in the demo on the home page.
