In development · async standup
Three lines.
No meeting.
tblip is an async standup for small teams. Everyone writes a blip: one line for what is done, one for what is next, one for what is blocked. The team reads a single short feed, and the daily call disappears.

Your blip
Three lines. Go.
Team feed
Maya, Tom and Priya are written samples. Your blip stays in this browser tab.
How it works
A standup the length of a text message
-
Step 1
Everyone writes three lines
Done, next, blocked. Each line stops at 80 characters, so nobody can write an essay.
-
Step 2
The team reads one feed
All blips sit on one short page. A team of eight is 24 lines: a minute to read, not a meeting.
-
Step 3
Blockers go to the top
Anyone with a blocked line is shown first and marked in pink, so help arrives before lunch.
What we are building
Status updates short enough that people read them
A hard limit per line
80 characters and the box stops. Short updates get read; long ones get skipped.
Blockers first
The feed is sorted by who is stuck, not by who posted last.
No bot questioning you
One small form with three boxes. No chat bot asking one question at a time.
Made for time zones
Each person blips at the start of their own day. Nobody joins a call at 7am or 9pm.
More than standups
The same three lines work for a weekly check-in or an end-of-day handover.
A record you can search
The plan is a simple history per person and per team, so "when did we ship that?" has an answer.

Questions
What is tblip?
An async standup tool for small teams. Each person writes a blip: three short lines for what is done, what is next and what is blocked. The team reads one feed instead of holding a meeting.
Can I use it today?
Not yet. tblip is in development. The demo on this page works in your browser and the three-line templates on the formats pages are free to copy into any chat tool now.
Why only three lines?
Because written updates fail when they grow into walls of text that nobody reads. A fixed, short shape means every blip gets read in full, and a blocker cannot hide in paragraph four.
Time yourself. It is seconds.
Write one blip in the demo and see how long it took. Nothing to install.
